The pictures included in this ad were taken in September of 2013 (so less than a year ago).

The kitchen has been updated and has plenty of cabinet space. Your fridge, stove and dishwasher are bright white. Custom countertops, beautiful maple cabinets and a modern tile backsplash round out the upgrades. Bright lino floors are stylish and a snap to keep clean!

Moving out of the kitchen and into the living room, you'll appreciate the ample space for whatever enormous furniture you may have. Sleek blonde laminate floors are easy to keep clean, and friendly for allergy sufferers. Oversized windows let lots of natural light poor into your new suite!

The single bedroom is oversized and houses a large clothes closet with bi-fold doors. Again, whether you're sleeping on an army issued cot or a king sized four-post bed, there's tons of room for whatever furniture you may have. The floors are beautiful, durable blonde laminate. And the walls have been painted with something other than boring old drab rental white giving the room a truly custom touch.

Leaving the bedroom and turning right brings you to your three-piece washroom where you'll find a bright, relaxing space. Again, just like the kitchen, everything was replaced or upgraded when the renovations were completed.

Other amenities include a good sized in-suite storage room, a reserved parking stall and laundry facilities in the building. Utilities covered by rent include water and heat while you're responsible for your own power, cable, telephone and Internet.

I take very good care of the property and I'm always available in the unlikely event there's a problem. You should be a non-smoker as well as neat, quiet and respectful of your neighbours. In return, you'll be dealing with a landlord that treats you with respect and is committed to taking tremendous care of both you and the unit in which you live.

A security deposit of one month's rent is necessary and you'll be expected to sign a six-month lease. References and a credit check will also be required.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

This complex is located in the Edmonton neighbourhood of Elmwood Park which is a mature area north of Northlands.

Going to NAIT? The campus is only a ten minute bus ride away.

Going to the UofA? The LRT is only a 15 minute walk from your door and this makes accessing the campus a snap. The LRT station also serves as a hub for bus service that will take you all over the city.

There's a Safeway within easy walking distance as well as a CIBC bank, a Scotiabank, and a Subway and KFC. Access to the Yellowhead is very convenient and getting to the city's downtown core couldn't be easier.

According the EPS crime mapping website, so far in 2014 there have been 26 crimes reported in Elmwood Park. To give that number some context, the same website also shows 107 reported crimes in Strathcona (Whyte Ave area) and 198 in Oliver (downtown near Grant MacEwan) during this same time.
