Community Support Worker taking new clients. ADHD/ Elderly accepted!! in Edmonton, Alberta

Hello! My name is Erin Petkau and I have been working with people with Special Needs and Developmental Disabilities for over 5 years. I attended post secondary immediately after high school and finished a 2 year program with honors in Community Support Work. Over the last 5 years I have worked as well as volunteered for several different companies who will provide excellent references on my behalf at your request.

I have worked with many individuals with ADHD, Down Syndrome, Golden -Har Syndrome, and many different types of Autism Spectrum disorders as well as the elderly. I know basic signing and how to do hand-over-hand teaching and guidance. I am able to do G Tube feedings as well as assist individuals with eating and all other types of personal care, including toileting and bathing among other aspects.

I love what I do and have a passion for helping others as well as their families. I believe that community integration and involvement is an absolutely vital part of everybody's health and well being, which is why I offer the services that I do.

If you are looking for a loving and caring person to provide respite care for yourself or a loved one, please take me into consideration. I have years of experience and great references as well as all certification needed for the job, including my Criminal Record Check, Child Welfare Check, current First Aid, Food Safe, and a clean drivers abstract and a van which can easily accommodate those with walking/ mobility issues and any needed tools they may require (wheelchair/walker, etc).

For everyone's convenience, I only offer rate consultations over the phone or in person. I find it easier to communicate that way, and being that everyone has different needs for their personal level of care, this allows me to assess and plan a working rate based upon what the individual needs and the time and work involved for myself in order to give you a proper rate.
