I tell all of my brides that having an experienced wedding photographer to take part in your wedding day is one of the most important things to have. I only say this because I speak from experience.
On my own wedding day I opted out of a professional and had a very loving aunt offer to take pictures for free. Awesome! Something I do not have to pay for. To my surprise her camera just so happen to break on the wedding day, but luckily I have fantastic family members who happen to jump in and capture the formal portraits. I am thankful that I have some pictures to look back on my wedding day but unfortunately I do not have any images from the ceremony or reception.
Sure this may be that "once in a blue moon" mishaps but it happened to me and I do not wish any other bride or groom to regret not booking a proper photographer for their wedding day.
