Teak Woodcarving From Buffalo Cart (Burma.) This item came from a Burmese oxcart. They carve spirit amounts to safeguard the farmer from danger, ie evil spirits or for fertility of the industry. This carving depicts the Burmese Buddhist version of Hanuman a main character in the impressive Hindu rhyme Ramayana. Made from teak lumber this piece is around 3ft 3ft and tall broad and is installed on a black stand.
